Kostas Koukoumakas (b. 1984) is a professional journalist based in Athens, Greece. He studied Journalism and Media at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He worked as reporter for the major Greek daily TA NEA (2008-2013) and for VICE (2014-2021). Today he is a journalist and producer at 24Media Lab (News247) covering politics, finance and organized crime in Greece and the Balkans. His work has appeared in the BBC News, DIE ZEIT, Balkan Insight, Goethe-Institute Magazine, K Magazine – Kathimerini Newspaper and Reporters United. Nominated for the European Press Prize, The Investigative Reporting Award 2017.
